My first painting in 2019!
This painting holds many ‘firsts’ ❤ First painting in 2019, first finished art using clip studio, and lastly, first piece that won in a contest.
Yes, this was my entry for a small contest held by a generous individual that goes by the name Sadodere on Line Play.
Speaking of Line Play, I’ve been slowly working my way towards the art community over there since it’s quite easy to find artists after the game introduced a new ‘share post to diary’ feature. Before that, people had to rely on sticker for stickers (spamming likes on someone’s diary), and commenting on others’ guestbooks (much like walls on facebook) to check out their art (sometimes very subtle). The share feature provides a better option to gain exposure without coming off as spammy. So I did two things to take advantage of that in order to find my “crowd”, I hosted an art raffle.
However, even though the exposure was great, it didn’t last long. Once the winners were announced, people didn’t care much about my new works nor did they stay. That small bump took a toll on my account growth. Since I had no idea how to recover from it, I decided to take a long break.
Which, of course, wasn’t exactly the brightest move 😉 So now I’m just doing whatever makes me and fellow artists on the platform happy. Joining raffles, commenting, leaving stickers, sending friend requests, the usual 🙂 I try not to think too much about it and just have fun!
Anyway, my main goal for this year is to be able to produce higher-quality works that feature full-body characters in order to break my endless cycle of floating heads! ❤ Wish me luck 😀
Here’s the step-by-step process!
And last but not least, thank you for your continued support! 🙂 ❤
